Control Unit Smart Cable Guard

The control unit is located at each side of the power cable.

Each control unit can handle three sensors. A fiber cable is used to connect the sensor to the control unit to reduce EMC and RF interferences. The control unit is connected to the KEMA Control Centre server by using GPRS or a LAN connection, sending the measured data each hour to be analyzed and interpreted. A built-in systems check ensures that the system is working properly.
The control unit is designed to work in a Star network with its sensors when using 3 or more control units in a geographical area. The design idea behind this is to cover as many kilometers of cable possible at the lowest possible investment costs.
